My God I swear my girls are going to have me in an early grave, double trouble is certainly an appropriate name at the minute. We are 2 weeks off their 2nd birthday and the temper tantrums and stroppiness has gotten a million times worse! What is really taking its toll on me is the way they can be so loving to me and each other one minute and the next izzy will have lizzy in a headlock and pulling her hair out! Seriously I'm thinking of giving them to wwe wrestling!
double trouble's blog
working 9-5 what a way to make a living!
Been a while since i last blogged, i've been quite busy with work and the twins and basically keeping it all together! have to say this week is going to be interesting hubby is on guard and working nights so doing 7pm til 7am so i've got to try and keep the twins either out the house or as quiet as possible all day and then do the bedtime routine solo! friday and saturday weren't t bad as we went to stay at my mum's but sunday was a nightmare we got home at 4pm and the girls couldn't be quiet so poor hubby ended up getting up early.
tears tantrums and teacups
I haven't done an update in a while so as the twins are sleeping i thought i would use the time to write a little update.
things can only get better
its been a while since i updated on my beautiful girls. its cerainly been an interesting few weeks the girls are browing and changing so much every time i look at them they seem to have grown taller.
I've been struggling the last few weeks, i found it difficult with all the snow to get out and then i was signed off work with stress i felt like i was wound up so tight i would explode, work was upsetting me, the girls were being such little madams and hubby has been working away so i was struggling to do everything.
growing so fast
my babies seem to have grown up so much since i last wrote! they are getting bigger and at 18 months old they are moving into 12-18 month clothes! but its not just their hight and weight thats getting bigger, its everything they seem to have new words everyday they can do loads of new things and evryday they seem to lose that babyness and look more like little girs.! we've also got new shoes this week and its so cute to see them modelling them when people ask to see their new shoes!!
double trouble but twice the fun
my oh my! my lovely girls are certainly keeping me on my toes! they are really finding their own voices and insisting on their independence (and they are only 18 months old!!!)
we had a wonderful half term and spent lots of time doing messy play, they even had an over night stay at grandmas which was nice as i got a lay in!! They loved getting dressed up for halloween and so i'm now looking out for some xmas costumes for them to wear for the toddler group christmas party.
half term happiness
I love having half-term especially as we have 2 weeks off!! Its been great to not stress about work and really be a happy mummy! I've spent the whole week doing different activities with the girls. We made chocolate rice-crispie cakes on sunday and elizabeth ate more chocolate than we put on the cakes, i baked fairy cakes on tuesday (which for me is a huge achievement as usually i burn them or they look like biscuits) and the girls decorated them with buttons... i couldn't stop laughing as isobel kept licking the buttons to try to stick them to the cake!
When the going gets tough ..... the Tough keep going
Well i've had one of the most up and down weeks i've had since the girls were little babies! Emotionally i feel completely drained as well as physically! I will say not all of its due to the deadly duo of Izzy and Lizzy.
A Twinnie adventure
Wow isn't it funny how some days your Little ones can take your breath away! today has been one of those days! the twins woke up in such a good mood, you could hear them jabbering away to each and were bouncing up and down in their cots! Jo Jingles was fun and everone was laughing at izzy when she got the cymbals she looked like
a toy monkey
devil's in disguise!!
as the Elvis song says You look like an angel Walk like an angel Talk like an angel But I got wise You're the devil in disguise that pretty much somes up izzy today! i swear she gave me looks that i'm use to seeing on the teenage kids i teach!!! she's really been pushing it today ... i think its to test her boundaries and see how far she can go before she gets in trouble! She's so stroppy and such an independent little thing she really knows her own mind!
